About the Seagoat

I make games. I've loved them my whole life — from an Atari 2600 controller I was too young to use properly, to the weekends my brother-in-law would leave his PS1 and a binder of disks at the house. One of those disks was Legend of Legaia, the first game I ever called my favorite. That combat system still lives in my head, and it's half the reason this blog exists.

The other half is my mom, who got hopelessly addicted to Candy Crush and once asked me, half joking, "Why don't you make me a game?" Those two ideas collided, and now I'm buildingZanshin: Blade & Tile — a match-3 puzzler crossed with cinematic martial arts action.

This den is where I write about three things, in roughly this order:

  • Game development. Devlogs, design deep-dives, postmortems, and the occasional rant. My game dev journey has been slow and intimidating for years; I'm finally building in earnest, and documenting the whole thing.
  • Building in public. I'm building Zanshin for Shipaton 2026, and this site is the public part — decisions, dead ends, and all.
  • Engineering leadership. Sometimes the boss fight is a roadmap.

If you loved the PS1-era JRPGs, or you just want to watch someone try to make match-3 punch you in the face, you're in the right place. Subscribe via RSS, and I'll see you at 1.0.0.
